Athina Vrakatseli, project Dissemination and Sustainability leader, will demonstrate how the iMENTORS platform optimizes donors' ICT4D interventions in Africa during the training and final meeting that EuroRIs-Net+ is organising on 16-17 September, in Athens.
iMENTORS went live and is one step closer to becoming the most comprehensive crowdsourcing map on ICT infrastructures in Sub-Saharan Africa! Register and create your profile on the platform. Do not forget to send us your feedback on the beta version of the platform! Check out the map now: www.imentors.eu/map.html

Co-funded by the European Commission’s DG CONNECT under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), iMENTORS is designed to enhance the coherence and effectiveness of international actors involved in e- infrastructures development projects and initiatives in Sub-Saharan Africa. iMENTORS launched in April 2012 by Stockholm University and Gov2u is a web-based platform serving as a knowledge repository for sharing and aggregating data on e-infrastructure projects throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

EuroRIs-Net+ builds on the Network of National Contact Points for the Research Infrastructures programme (RIs NCPs) to provide value-added services, which will facilitate transnational cooperation of NCPs, promoting the effective implementation of the RI programme, highlighting opportunities offered by Research Infrastructures - at the European and international level - and their impact on e-science.
The Network develops observatory functions for EC and national Research Infrastructures policies, programmes and initiatives, supported by an efficient dialogue scheme for RI NCPs with the RI ecosystem and a sustainable and comprehensive RI Knowledge Repository.
